Understanding Anorexia as not just a diet that went too far is so so important! As someone with a history with eating disorders, this piece really hit home, sending you my love. A great read.
It’s so painful to be a child accurately perceiving the disparity in empathy and care you receive compared to others. It’s in small things, like the way people speak to you, and in things as large as illness.
It takes an inner resilience no child should have to navigate something like that with the loneliness that awareness brings.
Thank you for sharing this, it felt like a punch in the gut and I’m so proud of you 💞.
As someone who has constantly searched and yearned from love from people close to me and people i don’t even know, begging and wailing for validation.. This post was more of an “i see you and i hear you” post and even though i am still trying to figure myself out and trying to find love within before finding love outside, I am happy that someone from the community has figured that out and is striving. I see you, girl! keep shining 💗🌸
