There is no safe way to dress in a society that sees the female body as existing solely as a sex object.
Like most women that grew up in religious communities, I too was raised with the idea that modest clothing was the best way to dress. This was promoted for a variety of reasons: I was told it’d prevent the men around me from having lustful thoughts, protect me from unwanted male attention, and arguably most importantly, it’d ensure I wasn’t a slut.
